We attended this event hosted by The Edinburgh Fair Work Action Group, to hear the thoughts of views of workers, employers, job seekers and support organisations.
Challenge Poverty Week is a time to spotlight the impact of poverty and find solutions together.
The Edinburgh Fair Work Action Group brought together partners from across the city to explore ways we can tackle in-work poverty as a Fair Work community.
The Edinburgh Fair Work Action Group is a collaboration of employers, public sector bodies, trade unions, social enterprises, and business organisations, all committed to the promotion of Fair Work. The group was created in 2021 in response to the Edinburgh Poverty Commission's call for urgent action to reduce low pay and insecure work in the city.
This year, the action group is developing a new action plan for the next three years. This event was a great opportunity to hear the thoughts and views of employers, workers and those seeking work in the city through a network of partners and experts who support these groups. The central question - how can we work together to make Edinburgh a Fair Work city for all?
