Historic Environment Scotland's careers fair returned for a second year to Edinburgh Castle, as part of Heritage Careers Week 2026.
This event allowed us to speak to a range of attendees, from young people exploring their career and study options, career changers and people looking to enter the heritage sector as a career.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet employers in the heritage sector, colleges and universities, and discover the range of skills and careers it takes to protect Scotland's heritage. From architecture and surveying to creative skills, construction, skills for nature and climate, galleries, libraries, archives and museums, archaeology and much more, attendees could understand what options were open to them, learn more about careers and study pathways, and find their place the heritage sector.
