Job Description

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our friendly and supportive HR team on a maternity cover contract. This role has a strong employee relations focus. You'll manage a varied caseload including absence, disciplinary, grievance and performance matters, providing practical, people-focused advice to managers and supporting them through processes from start to finish.

Alongside casework, you'll contribute to day-to-day HR activity, including responding to queries, supporting recruitment, payroll processes and general employee lifecycle administration.

Due to the short-term nature of the contract, we're looking for someone who can quickly build relationships, pick up an active caseload and make an immediate contribution to the team.

Skills and Qualifications
  • An experienced HR Advisor with a strong employee relations background.
  • Confident managing disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance cases.
  • Able to work independently while managing your own caseload.
  • Comfortable balancing employee relations work with wider HR activity.
  • Approachable, pragmatic and focused on finding practical solutions.
  • A collaborative team player who values sharing knowledge and continuous improvement.
Additional Information

Fixed Term Contract - initial 3 months (with potential to extend up to 4 months). Ideally starting 9 November 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
