General Maintenance Operative/Handyperson

Building Finishing Services UK Ltd is a well-established building finishing company based in Edinburgh. We're looking for a skilled, reliable General Maintenance Operative to join our team, working on residential properties — including tenanted and empty homes.

Job Summary

We're looking for an experienced all-rounder who can turn their hand to multiple trades and deliver quality work to a high standard. You'll be working independently and as part of a team on maintenance and finishing work across tenanted and void (empty) residential properties in the Edinburgh area.

Responsibilities

• General property repairs and maintenance
• Joinery work
• Plastering and making good
• Painting and decorating
• Tiling

Working hours: 40 hours per week, various shifts between 07:00 and 18:00

• Proven hands-on experience across multiple trades: joinery, plastering, plumbing, painting, and tiling
• A full, valid UK driving licence (essential)
• A reliable, self-motivated approach with good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good communication skills for liaising with tenants and colleagues
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and customer interaction

2 years property repair experience preferred.
