Cleaning Operatives

Working as part of a small, friendly cleaning team, with work taking place primarily at clients’ residential properties, offices and short let accommodation across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. The role involves travelling between properties and working independently or alongside other team members, depending on the job.

A typical day will involve travelling to scheduled client properties and carrying out cleaning duties to Polished Scot Cleaning’s required standards. Duties may include general cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning kitchens and bathrooms, changing bed linen and carrying out detailed or deep-cleaning tasks where required. The role may also involve checking that properties are presented to a high standard, reporting any issues or maintenance concerns, and working efficiently to complete scheduled cleans within the allocated time.

• No formal qualifications are required for the role, although previous cleaning experience would be beneficial.
• We are looking for reliable, punctual people who take pride in their work, with good attention to detail and the ability to work to a consistently high standard.
• The role requires good communication skills, a positive attitude, the ability to work independently and as part of a small team, and a willingness to follow company procedures and client requirements.
• A good level of physical fitness is also important as the role involves standing, bending, lifting and carrying cleaning equipment and supplies.
