You will work in a friendly, creative small-business environment across our photography studio, content studio and boutique. The role is mainly studio-based and involves regular interaction with clients. Normal hours are 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm Tuesday to Saturday, with reasonable flexibility for scheduled shoots and events. This is a part time position working 20 hours per week.
A typical day may include:
- Photographing individuals, families, fashion clients and DMC Luxewear products.
- Preparing cameras, lighting, backgrounds, props and studio sets before bookings.
- Welcoming clients and assisting them before and during photography sessions.
- Editing photographs and preparing approved images for delivery.
- Recording and editing short videos, reels and behind-the-scenes promotional content.
- Responding to basic booking enquiries and supporting customer communication.
- Resetting the studio after sessions and keeping equipment and customer areas organised.
- Occasionally supporting DMC Luxewear displays, stock organisation, packaging and order preparation.
You will also learn the following skills:
- Practical studio-photography techniques, including lighting, composition and set preparation.
- Photo-editing, short-form video production and content creation for digital platforms.
- Client communication, customer service, booking support and professional studio practice.
- Fashion and product photography, retail presentation and order-fulfilment processes.
- Transferable skills including teamwork, organisation, time management and problem solving.
- Skills and Qualifications

- Practical photography experience and a portfolio or examples of previous work; a formal photography qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of camera operation, studio lighting and photo editing; basic video-editing or social-media content skills are desirable.
- Good communication and customer-service skills, with a positive, reliable, organised and enthusiastic approach.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team, with willingness to learn new creative and technical skills.
- No preferred age bracket: applications are welcomed from eligible candidates aged 16–67 in accordance with the EERI criteria.
