- Job Description
-
We’re looking for an Assurance and Performance Officer to join our Assurance and Business Planning team, using data and insight to support high-quality housing and care services.
You’ll work with colleagues across Bield to turn accurate information into meaningful insight, helping us understand performance, manage risk and improve outcomes for our customers.
Reporting to the Performance and Quality Co-ordinator, you’ll support the collection, validation and analysis of performance information, ensuring reports are accurate, timely and useful for decision-making.
Your work will include:
- Preparing performance reports that identify trends, explain results and highlight areas for action.
- Supporting regulatory returns, benchmarking and reporting to senior management, committees and the Board.
- Co-ordinating internal audit programme to co-ordinate activities and monitor progress against agreed actions.
- Maintaining risk registers and working with colleagues to keep risk information up to date.
- Building effective relationships across teams to resolve queries and meet reporting deadlines.
- Skills and Qualifications
-
You’ll bring experience of collecting, checking and analysing data, alongside the ability to produce clear reports for different audiences. You’ll be comfortable using digital technology to organise, analyse and present information.
Just as importantly, you’ll have strong attention to detail, a methodical approach and the confidence to follow up missing information and challenge inconsistencies constructively. You’ll be able to balance competing priorities, meet deadlines and work collaboratively with colleagues.
You’ll understand how performance indicators, risk management, internal controls and audit support effective services, and you’ll demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and improvement.
Experience in housing, care or another regulated environment would be helpful, as would experience of internal audit, risk registers or assurance processes, but these are not essential. A relevant qualification is desirable; equivalent knowledge and skills gained through practical experience are also recognised.
