Moving Forward provides person-centred support for young people who are not in education or employment and require assistance to make those next steps. Through 1-1 caseworker support and occasional groupwork, our aim is to build confidence and resilience, and promote autonomy.
What does the support look like?
Support is on a range of areas including motivational support, health & wellbeing, practical advice, skill-building, support into further education, career guidance, CV creation and tailoring, application support, interview preparation, and more. We work collaboratively with the young person to identify their interests and goals, and together plan how to overcome any challenges on their way to reaching a positive destination. We also support young people to engage in their community through hobbies or volunteering.
What will I get?
• 1:1 support
• Training opportunities, including employability training and a variety of other qualifications via Access to Industry Community College
• Through engaging with Moving Forward, young people may also be entitled to £30 a week EMA payment
