Brief summary
Our Mentoring programme helps minority ethnic people with employment, education and self-development.
What does the support look like?
1:1 mentoring is provided by a mentor to a mentee in a private space. This takes place for 2 to 3 hours per week, not exceeding six months.
What will I get?
You will get 1:1 support from a dedicated mentor for 2–3 hours each week. Mentors guide you based on your needs and goals. This support builds essential skills for work or study. Through the mentor and LINKnet, you can connect with more professionals and potential employers.

Mentors also provide career advice, explore different paths, and help with future decisions. This mentoring experience can boost your self-confidence and belief in your abilities. LINKnet doesn’t offer formal qualifications, but the programme can improve your career prospects.
When
You will receive one to one support from a dedicated mentor for 2-3 hours per week for up to 6 months. It is a rolling-on programme and no specific starting date or finishing date.
Where
Hybrid, in-person or online. Either at LINKnet office (31 Guthrie Street, Edinburgh EH1 1JG) or in a public place such as a library.
What can I do next?
Once you secure a job or an education admission, you will be supported to carry on with your job or education if help is requested.
