Impactful Starts is a stage 1, non-traditional creative employability project for young people aged 16 to 24 who are currently out of work, education, or training. The only firm eligibility criteria is participants must be aged 16 to 24 and not in any employment, education, or training.
What does the support look like?
Over 12 weeks, using the arts as a focus, we support young people to build confidence, make new connections, gain qualifications, develop interview skills, prepare a CV, and identify and apply to opportunities.
Creative activities can include drawing, painting, music making, animation, photography, and much more. Participants may also have the opportunity to take part in local community art or climate action projects and go on educational field trips. No prior creative experience required.
What will I get?
Participants are supported by a Creative Lead, Youth Worker, and Opportunities Coordinator who provide 1:1 and group support to help young people get creative and get support to progress into employment, training, or further study.
