Key to Potential is a keywork project offering 1:1 outreach to sixteen-year-olds leaving school. You may have left school early and may not be receiving careers guidance. We help to prepare you for post-school options (college, paid training or jobs). This includes visiting training providers and college.
What does the support look like?
Our Stage 1 provision offers home visiting support to reach families and young people who would be missing from post-school provision. This helps you move onto suitable positive destinations. Our tasks include career guidance with parents/carers and young people.
We can help to open bank accounts, get Young Scot Cards and IDs. We can also build CVs and set up email/phone contacts. If needed, we can refer to training provision and college application assistance.
We look to build trust with the family and work at your pace to visit training, college and gain knowledge of available post-school options. This can assist you to move onto a destination you choose.
