Brief summary
In the past, leaving school was seen as something that only affects the young people. We now know that families are also affected by this transition. Families are the main support network for children. Therefore supporting general family wellbeing is good for both children and their parents.
Our family support service provides parents of school leavers with person-centred support. We help with all family wellbeing during this period of transition (leaving school). We support young people to access the Moving Forward service. Our work with families creates a more well-rounded environment for young people to focus on their goals.
What does the support look like?
We offer a personalised 1:1 service. A dedicated family support worker will support the parents of a young person in the Moving Forward program. Person centred support looks different for everyone. The service that you receive will be bespoke to your needs. We provide a relationship-based approach where we support with all aspects of well-being for up to one year.
