We will support you to gain knowledge and skills in the world of data and computing. We are an employability organisation, preparing you for a job. Access Data offers programmes at many different levels. We can offer learning opportunities to people at the start of their IT journey, and those who already have some knowledge.

We give 1:1 support to guide you through your journey. We aim to help people overcome any barriers they might have, and move into employment.
What does the support look like?
We offer a range of SQA-accredited data courses accompanied by 1:1 casework support. You will work through personal development action plans with your caseworker. Progress is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that you are getting the most out of the course. All support and training is delivered in a safe and supportive environment. We work in partnership with Edinburgh College.

When
Recruitment for our data courses is open twice a year. Register from November for courses starting in January. Register from May for courses starting in August.

Our IT skills course recruits on an ongoing basis. We welcome phone referrals for this course but please note that there may be a waitlist.
Where
We deliver Access Data through a hybrid model. Some courses are delivered remotely (by Zoom, Teams, Skype etc). Other courses are delivered in person at our Community College at 156 Cowgate.

Our caseworkers can support you to move into employment.

Access Data participants can progress to Edinburgh College. We offer guaranteed spaces on higher level data courses for successful learners.
