Youthbuild is our flagship programme. It is aimed at young people aged 16-24 years old living in Edinburgh who are facing barriers to employment
What does the support look like?
We deliver this construction programme in our training centre over 5 weeks. You will get a key worker to support you throughout the programme and while in employment. You have the opportunity to gain the following construction accredited certificates:
REHIS and CSCS Green Card.
The programme also includes a range of personal development and employability workshops including:
Drugs/Alcohol,
Offending,
Money Skills/Budgeting,
Sexual Health,
CV's and Interview Techniques,
Team Work & Presentation Skills,
Employers Expectations
and Independent Travel.
When you finish the 5 week training, you then undertake a 2 week work placement with a construction company. Once in full time employment, we offer site based support for a 6- month period.
