Adam is doing a two year Business Administration Apprenticeship in the Transactions team.
He feels it is a good way to gain work experience while earning a wage and gaining a relevant qualification. Something that will be good for him beyond his apprenticeship and in his present work.
He started 2 weeks after leaving High School and mentioned that at the beginning he found getting used to the work environment difficult. However he got used to it. He has developed a lot of transferable skills which will benefit him in the future.
All apprentices have mentors and this has been really useful for Adam. The apprentices and their mentors communicate regularly with each other.
He spends a few hours a week on his qualification by demonstrating that he is working to the relevant work standards. He finds the qualification worthwhile and relevant.
Adam mentions that he ‘enjoys learning and putting it to use in the workplace. Enjoys working with others and learning about how to conduct himself in his work’.
