Moving Forward
Moving Forward is a No One Left Behind (NOLB) funded Stage 1 provision for young people, who aren’t feeling confident about their next step, to help build new skills and increase levels of confidence. It is an individual package of activity and learning that is built around your needs and interests. This could be a range of activities - music, arts, sport, outdoor activities - and you can suggest things yourself. The aim is that you will feel more confident and ready to take the next step into further education, training or employment.
To be eligible, you must be aged between 15½ and 19 years, or up to age 26 if you have multiple barriers, and not be in a job, education or training.
You will have regular support from a dedicated staff member and will work on an individual plan that will help you to reach your goals. You may also be eligible for Educational Maintenance Allowance.
There are 7 hubs across the city which support eligible young people. These are split into geographical locations, based on schools in each area, and are called clusters. The details for each cluster are listed below:
